Help Strange playlist deletion

Hi all...I registered because I have this weird problem of the phone deleting any PLS file that I transfer to the internal or external SD card.

I can transfer other file types to the card and they stay there.

Is this deliberate by Samsung or Android generally?
Can anyone else retain PLS files in their SD card?

Any help would be appreciated.

PLS? no never tried...
i imagine they're not getting deleted but just aren't being read, or maybe are being moved somewhere if they're unknown format...
try a m3u playlist instead, it works on the Droid i know for a fact.

Same deal, transfer .pls or .m3u, open file manager on phone...gone.

Can't be an association problem, as .asx files stay and the phone can't play those.
