Help Strange Problem Installing 3rd Party Apps

I have a problem installing 3rd party apps on my phone. At the installation screen that lists the app's permissions, when I tap the "Install" button, it is unresponsive sometimes. It does not even light up orange. The "Cancel" button works fine though. I first noticed this when I tried installing the Amazon Appstore app, and now it's happening with the apps that I'm downloading from the Amazon Appstore.

The strange thing is that the problem would suddenly go away by itself if I wait a few hours and then try again. I have tried restarting the phone but it doesn't help. The only thing that seems to work is to try again after a few hours.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Could be an issue with the touch screen. Have you ever noticed any unresponsiveness in that spot before? Try installing a touchscreen testing app and checking it when it's acting up like that.
