Hi. I have a lenovo A820 and have problem with my storage. It keeps saying I have no storage but I hardly have anything downloaded.

It says I have

9gb available on phone storage.
37mb available on internal
373mb on SD card

It asks if I want to set default saving to either phone storage or SD card. I pick phone seeing that there is 9gigs there but when i try download a 20mb app it says no space left .


How can I fix this problem

What do you mean by "internal" as opposed to "phone storage"? That's the one that catches my eye: 37MB is very little, and android will always try to keep some working space free, so if the phone is trying to install the app there that will be your problem.

What confuses me is that I would think "phone storage" and "internal storage" would be the same thing. Also the specs I just looked up for the A820 claim it has a total 4GB storage, whereas your seems to have 9GB available. So I don't know what that 9GB phone storage is.

Apps will not install to the SD card, so space there won't help with this. Try clearing caches, or checking whether any apps are using excessive amounts of data storage, since app data share space with apps (so if you only download a few apps but they store a lot of data, or you have stored a lot of media in your internal space, that may leave you little space for apps).
