Hi, I am a google/Android Fan. I have had the HTC Magic since June 3rd (tried to get it on June 2nd when it was "Officially Released" but the stores didn't have them yet.)
I have loved the phone. I fell in love with it all over again over Christmas when I decided to root/mod the phone and add Android 1.6 with Cyanogen 4.2.10.1. It speeded up the system incredibly.
I was Really Impressed when Rogers caved and stated they would be providing Software Updates for Android, and then they went and shot themselves in the foot again with this 911 fiasco.
I read in the forum here that you can Call Rogers, go to their iPhone/General Wireless Support (press "1" on the tech support call) and ask for a Network Reset. I also read that Rogers wasn't doing that any more, but I figured I would give it a try. Lo and Behold, I was through with the tech support in just over 5 minutes, rebooted my phone, and Voila. 3G is back. I have used the forum a lot, so I just want to give something back. (I will also Respond under the "Rogers...911... Thread)
Thanks
