OK I was playing a game and it froze on me.Complete lock down. Also Earlier I had removed like two possibly important system apps. Anyway I popped the battery and went to turn it back on and now I'm stuck at the android screen. Ive tried everything ,literally almost everything I can think of to fix it.. Ive cleared cache, data, even the carrier data, ,Ive tried installing custom roms, installing stock roms, installing avid roms , lol. Nothing works it all fails verification. I can only access original stock recovery and ftm mode, I think i was in download mode too , is that the one where the screen is completely black? I don't know if there's a way to access boot loader mode ,but if there is that might help. Pretty much I need a fix if there even is one. Oh ya and i cant get USB to connect while in stock recovery.Best Ive gotten is FTM and it recognized it was USB but it still didn't know what kind of device. So still wasn't able to push or pull any data. Ill try anything guys. Any, and all help is needed right now please.

well i can tell you your only option but youre not gonna like it...

call zte, have it replaced
stock recovery is useless, and unless by some miracle the zte online updater tool works youre completely screwed because we cant make zips that work in stock recovery and they dont make full stock zips only ota update ones which are useless in this instance even if you guys had one

If you are able to have the device replaced. When you root the new one make sure to install cwm before modifying the system. Nandroid are a necessity when modifying the system

thankyou for the help, i guess i could try the online update tool. where can i get the download for that at? if it doesnt work i will be sending the phone in to get fixed since im still within zte warranty.

hey i have an idea which im pretty sure would work. i know for sure that the avid 4g root process still works on my phone as messed up as it is, im still able to put it in FTM mode and run the process. NOW if someone can replace those scripts with a custom or stock firmware i could run the same process in FTM mode and instead of rooting, i could install some fresh firmware.

if ftm mode can actually be connected to through adb, then you may very well be saved. you can push a new rom, or even easier, do an adb reboot bootloader, then fastboot flash a copy of cwm

ok i may need some PRo methods because i used fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and now it sais waiting on device. i believe its saying this because when i type adb devices to check them. it only shows a ? mark. heres the thing though the avid automated script is able to execute just fine even with it not being recognized in the devices and only showing a ? mark. so heres what im thinking. i think i can get it to work but i need a method that pretty much forces the cwm recovery onto the device.

holy HELL!! i figured out WORKING soft brick fix for the zte force!! it requires the avid root 4g made by osiris. thank u osiris! This is for those that still have stock recovery and are stuck in a bootloop or at the android screen and wont boot. heres the steps 1. first make sure no drivers at all are installed. 2. plug in phone to computer and boot it up. even though its not gonna fully boot, its going to give you the option to install usb handset drivers. do the automated install and let them install. 3. open up zte avid4g root folder made by osiris. you need to locate or download fastboot.exe and place it in the folder. also you will need to download the cwm recovery img which is located in the forums unzip it and place it in the zte avid root folder as well. ill try and post the link. 4. hold power button and volume up key at same time and boot into FTM mode 5. cd over to the directory of your avid root folder in ADB 6. type adb devices and you should see a question mark , its because it doesnt recognize it. now we need to get into the zte force bootloader (which is black screen) so type adb reboot bootloader. FROM HERE ON ITS VERY IMPORTANT U FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY AS I WRITE THEM OR THIS WONT WORK. 7. type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img 8. its going to say waiting for device. now go to device manager and you should see an unknown android device with and exclamation mark on it right click on it and browse for drivers . you want to pick the one that sais zte adb composite device. now install the drivers. bypass the warning and all that 9. it should now recognize the zte force long enough to push the recovery image over to the phone. ALL DONE 10. the screen will still be black because zte force bootloader is a mystery in and of itself. but just pull battery and reboot into recovery and you should now see cwm recovery. ..11. pick your rom which only one is available right now and flash away. :) any questions or additional help. post them in the thread.

well if guys can think of a good title for the fix ill copy and repost it. i feel like the title i have on this post though is pretty explanatory.
