I've got the same data issues a lot of people have reported here and around the web, where my phone will suddenly lose signal entirely in places I have great service. Dropped calls, late text messages, no internet, it's really been a pain.
As a result, I do a lot of toggling in and out of certain modes to try to get signal back. However, if I go into airplane mode (either by long-pressing the power button or via settings), I can't get out. The option is grayed out (again, both in the long-press menu and in settings) when I try to toggle out of airplane mode and back into a normal mode.
Is that expected functionality on the Nexus? It's definitely different than any phone I've had before.
Luckily I realized that switching from LTE to CDMA back to LTE works to return my signal as well, but airplane mode via power button long press is much more convenient.
Anyone else having this issue? Or do I just have a bum phone?
