Well, I bought a used GNote i717/AT&T version. I got the phone unlocked and TMobile 4G LTE works great.
However, I have a faulty/broken USB port. I tried 3 different PCs, an iMac, 3 different USB cables and I cannot get Kies or Odin to "see" my Note.
It has Gingerbread and is stock unrooted. I would love to root the device but can't because I can't get Odin to see it.
Looks like I will have to get the USB port replaced. Is there any other way to root without Odin? I can't even update to stock JellyBean without Kies. Is there any way to update my phone?
