Help Stuck Notification Tone

I recently came into possession of a Samsung Stratosphere, naturally running Android software. Recently it, much as the title indicates, is suffering from a stuck notification tone. Though I have "Ta Da" selected as my notification ringtone, it appears to be stuck on the "Stepping Stones" notification ringtone. Or at least that is all I hear whenever I receive a text message or notification. Some assistance would be gladly appreciated as I am new to the Smart Phone scene.

It may be that your sms app has a specific notification sound set "stepping stones" and is not using the default notification sound that you have set as TaDa. Go into the settings within the messaging app and check. Many apps can have their own notification sounds set, as can individual contacts.
