Stuck on Android logo

masontx

Newbie
I have a MID, unknown model #, 7" tablet running Android 2.2. Yesterday when I turned it on it just stayed on the green android logo and never goes farther. Holding on button for up to 1 minute doesn't do anything. I even opened the case and unplugged the battery in an attempt to reset it. The reset button also doesn't cure the problem. I run linux on my desktops and laptops, so solutions I found online with windows files won't work for me. Does anyone have or know of a linux based solution I can download and flash this tablet with?

Those tablets are crap this is a universal rom for 100s of mid Tablets.
I had a 2.2 mid with kernel 2.6.32 on it, once and installed uberoid on it to fix a problem with wpa_supplicant.
Do you have a link where you purchased this tablet?
You can get uberoid here:

I think there is a Linux terminal installer.

If you need anymore help post otherwise or pm me.

Thank you Dizzle1. Yeah they are crap, but it was a cheap way to try a 7' tablet and see if the concept worked for me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it is Android 2.2 I don't like, or the cheap components of the tablet. My son in law didn't like 2.2 on his company provided tablet, but when they gave him one with 3.0 he liked that. Anyway, thanks for the link I will give it a try.
