Stuck on green welcome screen

I updated my phone with cyanogen and then suddenly after I reboot it stays on the 'Mytouch 3g" green welcome screen. I haven't removed the battery yet because I can't power off the phone. It's been on for a whole night! Do I waited until it runs out of power and remove the battery?

Remove the battery, put it back in and go into recovery. Wipe it and reboot. See if that helps at all.

Well you can get into recovery correct? Did you try re partitioning your SD? Shouldn't have to but maybe. Before that I would try wiping, flashing the rom again, then reboot. You know it takes a good while for the first boot right?

what do you mean go into recovery mode? do you mean home + power buttons? it doesnt work. I can't get past the start up green screen.

I'm sorry to tell you but that sounds like a brick. Did you keep holding down the home button after you press power? If so, how long did you hold it down before you gave up?
