Stuck on "Waiting for device" with Kingo Root (HTC One V)

You son't need a SD card to flash SuperSU, if you're using Twrp boot into it, select adb sideload and swipe to start. Then in cmd type adb sideload then drag and drop supersu or the cwm supersu listed in the op in cmd and press enter.

Since I followed that guide, I wound up with CWM rather than TWRP.

On the bootloader screen it shows 'Recovery' as an option which I assume is CWM.. but when I select that, I initially get a green symbol of some sort, now followed up with a red triangle + an exclamation mark.

This device is done and rooted. For future notes: use fastboot getvar all to gather the correct code name for the corresponding recovery.img Can't get sideload to work? No worries Cydia impactor will root the device. Install a SuperSU apk and done.

Finally rooted, solely thanks to James' help since he finally got it rooted for me! :D

Highly recommend him if you need help as well.
