Stuck to my guns. My Behold II replaced with Samsung Vibrant

And that is why it wasn't free.

I never complained about that though. I complained about everything else. After we finished I asked if they are getting a lot of complaints about the phone. That's when I was told the main complaint was the fact that Samsung decided not to upgrade the OS. I never mentioned the OS prior to that.

Well he certainly got a much better offer than me and my primary complaint was the OS.

T-mobile has multiple call centers and tend to route everyone to the same call center as much as possible. If you keep having bad luck try using someone else's T-mobile phone and account info to get to a rep and ask them to look up your account. Just tell them your phone was messing up at the time or that you did that for troubleshooting purposes. With any luck you will get a new callcenter and a "fresh" start. That is how I got out of my Behold II and into a Cliq  but that was around the time the Mytouch Slide first came out and the only reason I couldn't get it was because it was too new.

I haven't really tried dealing with standard customer service, just the executive customer service.

At this point I'm starting to think its a lost cause.

Well maybe that's the problem. Why go that far up when the supervisor at a call center can get you what you want?

When you want a hamburger do you go to a farm for it?

Wasn't the whole point of this thread that to get anything actually done you have to go to executive customer service?

Dammit, now I want a hamburger.

I had emailed the number in third post of the thread I believe and got a call from the t-mobile center today from a representative named Brian, I was in class so I couldn't answer. He left me a number and extension to reach him at. I'll put that up as well as how my case went after I talk to him. Haven't been able to talk to him yet though because he wasn't there when I called.

It may be the fastest and to some the easiest way to get anything done but never worked for me I have had my phone swapped a few times through regular old 611. My G1 broke and I had it replaced with a t-749 Highlight, the Highlight s**ked so i had it replaced with the Behold II, Behold II was not supported had it replaced with a Cliq, Cliq wasn't my cup of tea so I used my upgrade and got the Slide for free, and I had the Vibrant offered to me from 611 as a replacement for my Slide which I declined.

Call 611 and complain about every issue everytime it happens, works for me.

Well after having numerous issues with my behold 2 and having it replace only after a couple days of purchasing it I decided to email the executive office since I got nowhere with customer service. I basically wrote a book to the yesterday afternoon and this morning recieved a call from a rep and to make a long story short they are sending me a new Vibrant out today. I just have to send the crappy behold 2 back to them. Yay.

OK I know this is my first post, but I was searching for problems and issues with the behold 2 and came across this post. I emailed Mr Dotson on 9-13-10. I was just honest listed all my problems, addressed the fact iI had be a T-mobile customer for several years, and that I would take my plan to another provider. I recieved a call today 9-14-10 from a Customer Rep from Tmobile saying they apologized for the problems that I have been having with my phone. She asked me if there was a particular phone that Tmobile offers that I would be intrested in. I almost was going to consider the my touch slide, but i went with the Vibrant. I have played around Vibrant before I liked the responsiveness of the touch screen. Seems like a really good phone. She also stated that i had to mail back the Samsung Behold 2 or that my account would be charged the the Vibrant. She provided an address to maile the phone back. She was very poilite very easy to talk to. I thought id just post my experiance and hopefully some you who have this phone will get your issues resolved.
Here is the email I sent Mr Dotson incase you are inquiring:

Hello Mr. Dotson,

My name is _________, I have been a loyal Tmobile customer for serveral years. I just wanted to say that i am happy with my T-mobile service and have not had any issues with the service, but the phone on other hand is where my problem lies. I currently use the Samsung Behold 2 since i have began using this phone i have had nothing, but problems I have gone about everythiing to troubleshoot or resolve any issues I have had with the phone. Here is a list of all the problems I am having with this phone:

  • Constant rebooting, my phone rebooting it self all the time and during these reboots Im losing apps and items saved on my phone.
  • SD card mounting and unmounting, again it does this on its own and i lose pictures and other items saved on the SD card.
  • No OTA update, Im currently on 1.5 OS and have not recieved 1.6 OS and from what i understand The Behold 2 was supposed to get an 2.0 OS update.
  • Missing calls and Dropped calls also, which is a big deal luckliy I havent missed and thing that was an emgerancy.
  • Battery issue, the phones battery will not last a full day with moderate use. I pretty much haveto keep it on a charger throughout the day.
  • Vibrating Issue: example I was at the gym after my workout I came back to my locker and my phone was off and just vibrating I had to pull battery to my it stop.
  • Freezing issues as well my phone has froze up on me on several occasions where again I have had to remove batttery to fix

The Samusung Behold did have some great feature such as great camera and photo editing software. The fact it runs on Andriod. I just wish that Tmobile stood behind their products. I really enjoy Tmobile service and do not want to leave to another provider, but if I cant get the issue resolved I will take my family plan to another provider.

Thank you for your attention in this matter,

When you want a hamburger do you go to a farm for it?

Yes actually. My gf has 1/4 of a cow in the freezer at her parents farm.

Beef tastes best when you know the cows name.

So I just got my Behold II replaced with a Vibrant. This is how it happened for me.

I emailed the link of the ceo or whatever for the executive tmobile office. About four days later a man named Brian called me about my complaints but I was in school and couldn't answer. He left a number for me to call and I would always call back the same day leaving a message on his machine. Today was the third missed call and in the message he said he had reviewed my account extensively and saw that I had talked to a web specialist online about replacing my phone. When I had talked to a web specialist they told me that they could only replace my behold with another behold and I said I didn't want to and eventually nothing came out of it.

So on the message he said I was getting a free upgrade to the vibrant with express shipping and all I have to do now is mail back my old phone. So essentially I got upgraded to the vibrant for just emailing them.

I posted on T-Mobile's Facebook wall. My brother and cousin recommended I go to Sprint. I checked into it and they have the most comparable plan to what I have now. Verizon would be about $30 more and ATT would be about $20. So Sprint would be the best choice and actually be cheaper.

So they responded to me on Facebook and then called me. What they gave me was a $100 credit and they are going to replace my phone. I've tried a few roms, like the one I have now is OTA 1.6 Tweaked ver 3 I believe. I've tried everything. So they are sending me a replacement and I'll see after that. I thought the phone was cool at first until I came into the forums, and this is my first Android phone, and I started having problems like random reboots, texts would black my phone out and vibrate but that was fixed with the update. I still have lag issues and freezing issues sometimes, and had dropped calls.

I'll see how the replacement goes but I just signed a new contract in February to get this phone as it on sale for $80 when I got it. I really don't want to wait another 2 years to upgrade or leave but I'll see what happens.
