Student Apps!

Hello Recently I bough Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 For College to make my study and note taking more easy. :) I quite like it however I don't Know what kind of apps I can use?
I would love if someone here could give me nice apps and short description :) Thank you
Ps: More apps then better :P

Also, get a bluetooth keyboard to go with it. Logitech has a decent one. You'll be glad you did.

Another nice thing about it is that while you're taking notes, you can also record the lecture but you may have to sit up front of the class, especially if the teacher has a quiet voice. When the instructor has notes on the board, you can snap a photo of it but note that turning on the camera will shut down the voice recorder and you'll have to remember to restart it after you take the photo(s).

I did my entire last semester from my Galaxy S2. I bought the textbook as an e-book for $25 as opposed to getting the paper copy from the book store for $185. Used the above configuration as well as the spreadsheet program and web browser as needed in order to ace both classes.

I started with the Tab 2 10.1 that you have but it was lost (my carelessness) about a week into the semester which is why I switched to the phone. Would have been MUCH easier to use the Tab. But definitely get the BT keyboard.

I agree with this. I got the Logitech keyboard on ebay for $16 - it's worth much more. You won't regret it.

I love reading fiction on my tablet, but I just could not get behind using it for my textbooks. Perhaps it was because the wi-fi at my school was horrid, or perhaps it was because my tablet is too small. I found it klunky and not user friendly, and even though the app I had to use to access the books was supposed to allow offline access, it never worked. The app would crash on me, and when I re-launched it, the files for offline access were gone. Which is really too bad, because if I could NOT have to carry around 4-6 heavy textbooks, my back would love me.

As far as apps, here are the ones I've found useful:

Evernote
Class Buddy Pro
Dropbox
OfficeSuite Pro 7 (PDF & HD)
Any.do

I should have clarified on that point. I used the Nook app. No need to be connected at all once the book is d/l'd to the device and it never crashed on me. Also, it was pretty rare that I needed to connect to the internet during class at all. Once in a while, I'd have to use the web browser or e-mail but not all that frequently.

Something else that happened twice was that we did our mid-term and final exam via a web browser but I went to the school office and checked out a laptop to do those exams. Simply not worth the possibility of incompatibilities causing me issues.

The only way I was able to access the books I needed for my classes was through a special app made by the publisher (not available on Kindle or Nook, and not downloadable as a PDF either). It really wasn't worth the hassle.

I had one of those but I didn't need to use it all that much on the phone. I ended up using it for homework and used the laptop for that. Never did get to try that one on the larger tablet.
