Hi

An early update to ICS enable tethering to Ad Hoc networks and that allowed me to connect my TF101 to my HTC HD2 (WM6.5)

I've been trying to connect my N7 with the phone but it is having absolutely none of it. Not sure how relevant it is but it sees and can connect to my friend's iPhone

I've had a dig around in Settings and even added the SSID manually but to no avail :(

Can anyone suggest a cause and even better a solution?

TIA

I am tethering with my rooted OG Evo using wifi tether version 3.1 beta11 app by Muller, Lemons and two other people. Sometimes the older versions don't work so get the beta. Check the Evo 4G forum for a link or try to Google it.

My rom (tommytomatoes Classic) also has a built in 3g hack that also works.

I have yet a third tethering app called wireless tether also by Muller, and Lemons version 2.0.7 that does not work.

Good luck.

Thank you for replying but my phone is WM, not Android so the recommended Apps won't be appropriate

Please note that my phone is NOT Android

I'm trying to tether my Andoid N7 to my WM6.5 HD2 handset. My TF101 tethers successfully as an Ad Hoc network but not the N7.

If anyone has a solution to that problem I'd be grateful.

While the build quality issues exist with our devices and there is a strong likelihood of it being returned I'm definietly not going to Root it
