Stupid Gmail question . . .

When I get a reply to an e-mail I send, I can't see in the reply the entirety of what I sent in the first place - usually only the first few words show. Is there a way to see the entire message?

Up at the top it should say something like "# read messages". Click on that and you can see what the previous messages were.
