Help Stylus problems, anyone?

I am running CM7 stable 7.0.3 and Swype 3.0 on my NC. I have a RocketFish 2 in 1 stylus that works great on my Samsung Captivate phone, but not so great with the NC. It frequently sees the starting point touch as a separate word as well as (or instead of) the beginning of a word gesture. Is this a problem with the NC's touch screen, or with Swype 3.0? Swype is much more reliable on the NC with my fingertip than the stylus. Maybe the NC touchscreen isn't as good at detecting the stylus as my phone.

Any thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing. A stylus is generally used for small screens (like my wife's Nitendo DS ).
It was a gift from her niece, ok? :D

This stylus is specifically designed for use with capacitive touch screens.

I've used stylii since my Palm IIIxe  days. It's very helpful on my phone touchscreen, much better than my fingers that are 2-3x as wide as the keyboard buttons. I'm amazed (and a little intimidated) by those who can thumb type so fast...

Having said all that, the Swype keyboard on the NC is large enough that I don't really NEED to use a stylus. I was giving it a try mainly to put fewer fingerprints on the screen...

The Nook's screen has always seemed a little sensitive to me. I'll try to click, and it will interpret it as a swipe. Maybe the hard stylus is doing a slight "bounce" on the screen, and registering a click, then another touch/swipe.
