stylus use on salsa

can anyone tell me if I can use a stylus for salsa and if so is there a special one. I have tried using one I found in the house but its not working.

Many thanks for your quick response. Do you have a salsa and if yes would you mind me asking further questions when I get stuck. I got mine on Wednesday and I now need to download all my music cd,s onto it. Is there anything on the phone that stops me from streaming videos? My fingers are like sausages so I struggle with texts.
