SubSonic

I just started using SubSonic. The idea is great, but I've been having all kinds of problems getting it to work. I've got everything set up, and my phone and computer are able to communicate with each other.
The problems arise when I start trying to play music. Almost invariably, 3G will cut out and 1X will take over. This causes the stream to cut out quickly, and then the song starts over from the beginning. I can deal with streams cutting out, but going back to the beginning of the song drives me crazy.

Anyone know of any fixes for this or the 3G>1X problem? I really hope I can get this to function a little better because it's an awesome idea.

I've not seen that issue, but you're better off posting such a bug in the SubSonic forums themselves as the developer watches them quite a bit.

That said, the streaming on SubSonic isn't exactly streaming, it downloads the song (and entire album it seems) to the SD card and plays from there... so not sure why your song would reset.. I tried cutting out my WiFi and it switched over to 3G without a hitch. (But by then the entire album was on my card so not sure if that makes a difference).

Try the boards over at Subsonic

I got this app up and running and its great!

+1 for the subsonic forums, they helped me get it working.

try lowering the bit rate in your settings for subsonic on your computer. i think i have mine set to 112 and it never stutters now. still sounds fine to me, but has fixed the stutter / restart problem.

I was facing quit the same problem but not the exact one for which I got the solution from site of Subsonic where I become to know that I had made one silly mistake and I resolve it by following the steps. Setting up the bit rates lower makes me free from the trouble of restarting.

I had uninstalled the app because it was causing massive battery drain. Got a tip to select preload only 1 or 2 songs instead of 'unlimited' because otherwise it will continue to download to the max. Now it works great. Love this flippin app!

does anybody know (while tweeking your router) of how many ports I would type in to finish the process of utilizing my subsonic I'm stuk
