Substitute Charger for Samsung Note 2

I recently bought a samsung note 2, it's barely two month now. After a month of use, it was due for a battery recharge. After an hour or so, (phone was off) I looked at it and noticed that it stopped. Instead of continuing the charging process, I just consumed the charge that was on the phoone. When I recharged it the following day, the charger malfunctioned. I tried in other sockets, extension wires, etc., but nothing.

I bought another samsung charger (travelk adapter) and the salesman told me that it is the same (model no ETA0U1QUBE). The charging process takes 3-4 hrs compared to the original charger of 2 hours only. Is this normal? Will it not affect the battery and the phone as well?

I have used a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone, will it be okay if I use on the Note 2? Will it not affect the battery and the phone as well?

Those who will provide me with answers and a sound will be highly appreciated and I'm thanking them in advance.

For a fully discharged battery I would guess 3-4 hours is right for me. But I usually have more than 50% charge when I get home and takes me around 1-2 hours.

This is because N2 battery is bigger than most phones.

And I'm sure it's safe to connect your phone to other charges that aren't malfunctioning.

Check the new adapter and see if it is 2A. But sometime even if it said 2A on the adapter, it is not. I have a $3.99 adapter from Ebay and it said 2A, but it is charging about half as slow as the one from Samsung. I also use my Kindle Fire charger which is 1.8A and it is charging just as fast as the Samsung's.

I just bought one of these, it has two 1A and two 2A usb port for charging and it will charge my wife's iPhone 4 without any cable! I will be getting it this week and it will power most of my devices!

I have a bunch of Motorola chargers that I use, they all work fine and were $4 shipped each online.
