Help Successfully using pda.net with a LG Vortex

I have been having issues trying to sync pda.net using my LG Vortex and my Dell PC laptop. Sometimes it gives me access to the internet but most of the time I get the error message that the computer is not recognizing my phone. Any suggestions or solutions? thank you
