Have an international version i9300, running stock ROM, unrooted, as updated over the air from time to time.Current version 4.1.2,
For some reason in the last week or so, the phone is now draining the battery at an extraordinary rate. It is at least 3 times quicker than 2 weeks ago, in that the phone doesnt last half a day, and is getting warm.
I have not installed any new apps, or made any changes than what I have been using in the last 12 months.
I suspect that one of the apps has updated, and that is the problem. But how do I find out which one???
Settings/battery shows that at times of high drawn (which is almost all the time) the device is constantly awake.
This morning, the phone drained normal for a couple of hours, then suddenly went down hill quick. When down to less than 10% I put phone into airplane mode, and drain slowed down.
Before the sudden drop, and after in airplane mode, shows awake at various time. Between drop and airline mode, awake all the time.
So, what is the best way to find the wayward app??
