Help Suddenly having gif problems...

My Galaxy S2 has been fine for the last three months, then today it suddenly stopped playing gif files. I haven't put anything on it or changed the settings. Anyone have an idea why it would do that?
 
Would this be in the browser or in the gallery app? If one of them automatically updated you could have lost your preferences.
