Root Suddenly & inexplicably, my Emails stopped coming

Lord Vader

I don't know what happened, but since the evening of Nov. 27th, I have not received a single Email, even though I got over 150 Emails when I checked via my PC. I made no changes to my phone, to my K9 Email account settings--nothing. I've rebooted and wiped Dalvik cache and regular cache, but that hasn't worked. I've uninstalled and re-installed K9, but that hasn't worked. Even my stock Email app isn't working. I've verified my log-in credentials, but those are OK. My polling of every minute remained unchanged as well.

When I go to "folders" in K9, I did notice that on the list of folders, under Inbox it says exactly this:

IOException: Pushback buffe
Any ideas on what's wrong and how I can fix this?

So, is your app area getting full?

Go into Terminal Emulator, give this command -

df

And post a screen shot if you like.

Do you have message limits set?

Meaning, number of weeks or number of messages worth.

Have you cleared cache for K9?

No limits set, and I've cleared my cache--more than once.

Anyway...within the last couple minutes, I again rebooted my phone, and suddenly, a flood of Emails is coming in. This is weird.

Well, the same problem has recurred. Ever since last night, no Emails are coming in. When I go to the app and select folders then Inbox, once again I see this:

IOException: Pushback buffe

Note: My guess is that is supposed to read "buffer" but is truncated simply due to space available in the window "Inbox".

I've done all the usual stuff: cleared cache (phone, app, etc.), uninstalled, re-installed, you name it. Nothing works.

I admit that I'm baffled as to why this is happening.

Then I'm back to my original suspicion - Something is running over in /data.

Go for a logcat, share it as a text file, not html.

The alogcat app works great.

PS - I'm out the door, will check later this evening.
