Help Suddenly no signal!

NewSoul

Lurker
Edit: It turns out my service provider disabled my SIM shortly after I activated it because my change of SIM was "unauthorized." They also reactivated my old SIM (which I was not able to tell without restarting my old phone). I have no idea why they allow you to change your SIM online if they just say that you are "unauthorized" to do so. WTF T-Mobile?

This phone is brand spanking new. As in, I put in the sim card and activated it online today. I sent out a text message and it worked, so I didn't think there would be any issues. My sim seemed to have been successfully activated. I left the phone charging for a few hours, came back, tried to send another text...but it didn't send and realized I had no signal.

I'm frustrated. I don't live out in the boonies. My other sim has been deactivated (different type), so I can't send or receive any phone calls or text messages.

Things I tried...

1. Toggling airplane mode
2. Restarting the phone (did this maybe 10 times already)
3. Manually selecting a network operator
4. Changing the APN settings (did this maybe 5 times, restarting in between)

I have T-Mobile, and my current settings are...

MNC: 260

APN protocol: IPv4

that sucks. Wish I could help you solve the problem, but can't. Running a phone through a Google Voice account helps in these case so that at least one can get their SSM and voicemails from the laptop.
