Help Suddenly not getting 3G

I was getting 3G yesterday, my first full day with the phone, and suddenly today, I can't connect to 3G at all. I've tried turning off and on the Mobile Network. I've restarted the phone 3 times. I don't know what else to do.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Or has anyone heard of it/seen a fix?

This fixed it for me:

Settings --> Wireless Controls --> Mobile Network Settings --> Network Service.

Make sure it is set to Automatic. Mine was set to 'Home Only' and I couldn't stay off 1X to save my life. Now nothing but 3G.

Hope this helps.

Thanks do much. I'll definitely try that!

It did sound like this is an issue being addressed in the Dec 11 patch though. Perhaps this is a short term workaround?

What's the difference between home only and auto?

Not entirely sure what the difference is, but the Verizon guy made it sound like it should definitely be on Automatic. Either way, I have been strong 3G since.

The 12/11 fix is supposed to address when acquiring a 1X signal, it will not lock back on to 3G, but a reboot should be a workaround.
