This application allows you to scan a Sudoku puzzle with the camera and then solve the puzzle instantly. Free download on Android Market. Major update coming soon with game play.

Version 1.2.2 just released. This aims to resolve a problem with the camera preview on the Nexus One and Droid.

Absolutely.

The next update will allow you to play the puzzle on your phone rather than paper once it has been scanned. It can then highlight mistakes/give hints/provide solutions on hard puzzles. At the moment however, it's just a bit of fun!

I'll be sticking to the old school method of using my brain to figure it out though. I'm sure the app will be helpful to some though!

The last post was 5.5 years ago. If searching for "sudoku capture" in the play store doesn't find anything then contacting the developer is your best bet. The project isn't mentioned on his website (linked in original post), so it may have been abandoned long ago, but he might be able to supply an old version.
