Help Suggestions to repair camera?

After accidentally dropping my Incredible in a hot tub, the only lasting damage appears to be with the camera. When you hit the camera icon, only a black screen comes up. Nothing happens when you push the toggle button or the menu button.

My assumption was that the camera component needed to be replaced. One was ordered and once installed, the same issue remains. Internally, there is no visible corrosion. So what else could be the problem?

Is it the application? A factory reset has recently been done (in case that matters) but I haven't dared to remove the camera app for fear that I can't find it to download again.

Any other suggestions or thoughts?

Doesn't sound like an app issue, but you could try another camera app from the market, like "color" . If you are positive the camera was replaced correctly, it may be unseen damage to other parts of the motherboard that control the camera.
