Summer is coming... and so are the new phones!

So... is everyone sticking with their Vibrants? Or moving onto to greener platforms? I am really excited about all of the new phones coming out. I've been reading the specs and every article I can find about the upcoming releases. I'm a little annoyed b/c I've been adamant I wouldn't buy another Samsung phone but part of me really likes the thought of the Samsung Galaxy S2. I'm also interested in Verizon's already released Thunderbolt. As you can see, I'm interested in moving up from a 4 inch screen to something a little larger like the 4.3 these two offer. I'm also excited about seeing the 3D phones. I felt the idea was gimmicky at first but it has grown on me. I'm definitely going to have to check them out. I will be the first in line to look at the Evo 3D. My husband is thinking of moving us over to Verizon this summer though so I'll probably be looking more at what is available with them. What are you all planning to do when the new phones come out? :D

I'm not familiar with the Galaxy S2...I'll have to search a bit. The Evo 3D did catch my eye, so if I can be patient enough it might be one to look at. More than anything I've been thinking about the Nexus S 4G coming to Sprint soon.

If anything I'll go with Sprint. AT&T just plain sucks where I live and I never cared for the way Verizon does things with their phones. Beside the fact they're so stupid expensive.

T-Mob won't disappear overnight if it does at all, but while I'm not in a hurry I won't be waiting until the last minute; it's more a matter of finding the right deal. I hope Sprint doesn't drop their "unlimited" data. I expect in time all carriers will have tiered service though. :(

I believe so. I was thinking about sticking w/ Tmobile b/c of this. We'd be grandfathered in. TMobile is supposed to be bought out by AT&T in a year or so and we'd still have our unlimited plans... At the same time though, AT&T service sucks so I'm not sure if we'd even want to use them. My husband has a huge grievance w/ AT&T customer service so he wants to switch to Verizon anyway b/c of that. I know Verizon is offering unlimited data for the iphone right now, what I don't know is if they are only offering it for the iphone or if they are also offering it for the android phones. I don't think I actually use much data now that I have home internet though. I just use the wifi fx now on my phone. I only use data when I use the GPS navigation.

Tell me about it. Almost everyone around me has an iPhone4. It's like an Apple fan club.

Like the Apple fan club of "cool" people who buy Mac Book Pros and only use them to browse the web? Dang, why can't I be that cool :(

But on topic, I think my Vibrant should be good for a while. I had to upgrade from the myTouch 3G as that was unbearably slow, but the Vibrant works for me. I just have to avoid all contact with the new dual core phones and not be tempted to upgrade. The more I read and see the new line the more I crack itch for the upgrade, so I'm trying to keep myself in the dark of the upcoming phones.
