Sup? :D

Hello! Names Carlos!

I recently got rid of my iPhone 4s and brought a Samsung Galaxy SII. I havent had a standard phone for a long time so I am already looking into rooting and changing alot of the phones stuff.

Any help with that would be appreciated 'cos I'm not 100% sure about the process.

Anyway, Gonna have a mooch around the site now and see what info I can gather.

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to AndroidForums. What wireless carrier do you have? It is important because root methods vary from carrier to carrier. Once you specify that, I can better direct you where to look.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm from the UK and on Vodafone Pay and Go. Not sure if you need to know anything else but I'll list all the phone stuff you might need to.

Running 4.0.4 firmware
Build number ends in XWLPY

Anything else you might need to know? Thanks fellas :P

Alright then - It looks like you're going to want to head on over to our SGS2 (International) forum. There you'll find info and help on rooting from the folks that know that phone best in the "All Things Root" section at the top.

Samsung Galaxy S2 (International) - Android Forums

Best of luck.
