Sup... Iphone user here considering an Android

Newbie
Alright Well I inherited an Iphone 3G in October.... and while it's nice and all I feel like Android would be better for me. I don't really like Apple as a company and I don't like their business practices. I'm studying CS so I plan on developing for mobile platforms and I feel that since I don't own a mac and since I want to promote open source that this would be the platform to do it. I'm currently renewing my contract in october and am considering the atrix (withouth the laptop dock) But yeah... Hi! I'm a huge gamer but I don't consider the iphone and these touch screen things true gaming.... I own all systems and have a Video game collection of 600 titles.

Welcome to the club. I think you will be happy with Atrix. I am working with someone right now with one and he loves it. He has had a few little bugs but some how they worked them selfs out for now. Her had a few restarts for some reason. I have never owned an iphone but have a few friends with them and not to knock the iphone to bad but everyone of them had to get a new phone at least once. For me I love the way I can customize my phone. It is a big part of what I do with it. once rooted I loved being able to flash new roms it is like getting a new phone every other week. I hope you enjoy your new phone..

Well could you give me a quick intro to it? All I know is that Android is open source and what not... I know that some can be jail broken to allow piracy.... but yeah that's about it.
