Super cool things of the unknown!

So I love technology, and am especially interested in mobile technology. So here we go. What kind of things can you do with an Android that are super cool that people may not know about? Cool things you see in the movies that actors are doing with mobile technology (spies, police, government, etc.), can you actually do any of those things? Apps, are there any super cool apps that people may not know about that do super cool things? Things in the feature, are there things in the feature that will do things people will only dream about? THANKS! Hopefully this will spark some super geek discussion!

Rooted phones can kill a wifi user's connection - perform packet analysis - catch people's facebook and twitter accounts (depending on the connection) and steal that info... kinda like a 'spy'.

Also, you can use GPS to find a lost phone, and within the same app you can wipe or lock the phone ... Like "Bait Car" (police).

ICS will have (last I heard) a facial recognition unlock screen, biometrics on phones! wooo!

The facial recognition sounds awesome! Any idea what phones will be able to do such a thing?

You dont need root for this. There is an application that detects logged in users' account details on the same network. press a button, it takes you to their facebook page, logged in as them.

I wont mention the name of this app. Suffice to say, its not on the market.

I thought that the one I was thinking of needed root. Could be not. I know that one of that developer's apps needed root permissions, but that one did something else.

Radar Now is fabulous. If you can spring for the paid version, even better.

So even without the Tricorder, it looks like star trek tech is only a little ways away (I heard on the History channel that star trek is the reason for the flip phones 'flipping' ;))

Thing about Android is anyone can load up eclipse and program an app for there phone to do just about anything and load it on their phone and go totown.. That can't really be said for any other OS.. I'm sure there are plenty of custom apps out there that no one except the creator have heard of, hell don't even need eclipse.. Lol

Love Radar Now! Used it all last year. I recently switched to Rainy Days. Same type app, but I think it looks a little cleaner and has pinch to zoom on the map.

My addition to the list is Satellite AR. Works like Google Sky view, but if you aim it at a passing satellite, you can access one of four databases to find out the satellite's name, launch date, etc.
