I am relatively sure that nail polish remover should work - it'd have to be the type with Acetone in it. I'd be VERY careful... I would hate for the stuff to get inside your phone and mess it up.
I think that, either with cotton buds (q-tips) or cotton wool pads should work with the nail polish remover and, gradually, get rid of it. May take a while, but it should work!
Check the bottle... if it's acetone free, it will say so (my wife's said that it's better for your nails if it's acetone free). If the only stuff you have access to is acetone free, it probably wouldn't work... you may have to buy some in order to get rid!
You're talking about using it on glass though... as I said, be careful not to get it elsewhere, other than on the glass.
Start as far away from the edges as possible, just to see if it is working and, if it is, gradually move to get all of the glue off.
I would imagine that it should work... when I was at school, I spilled tipex on my trousers and the chemistry department were able to get it off, using acetone. I think it's the same stuff that's used sometimes in dry cleaning.
My wife just said that it's the cheap nail polish removers that use acetone now, as it's bad for your nails... may mean that you have to go to the shops tomorrow... but should sort you
