Help super user issue

hello i am trying to root my galaxy rush now i have installed cwm but the SU i am trying to load isn't loading right. i can access it from CWM when i load to the sd and it says installs but a quick check of the emulator show that there is no busybox or super user and i am just stumped on what to do. i don't remember my prevail being such a pain. any help is appreciated
 
Witch version of cwmr are you using?
The touch version is broke,
Also open the superuser app and install the update binary's and then you shouldn't have any problems

I can't get any cwm version to work using Odin to flash it... Any ideas? Odin says everything worked and I get a green passed sign, but recovery is still stock. I've tried 4 times with 3 different cwm zips for the sgr...
 
Once Odin says passed! Unplug the USB cord and pop the battery out, don't let the phone boot....
Now put the battery back in and boot into cwmr (hold vol. Up & power button at the same time)
If you see the boost Mobile screen, pop the battery out real fast before it boots and try booting into cwmr again
 
It may take a few times.... It'll took Me 5 battery pulls to make it stick. .. also make sure u uncheck auto reboot on Odin. Just in case u didn't know :D

How do u know when it sticks? When I boot up into recovery (Power up vol key) I get the little android dude with his bely open like a cabinet and this thing rotating in front of it. But I flashed cwm 19 times got stuck n a boot loop, factory reset my phone, somehow came out of it and was rooted but back at 4.0.4 instead of where i was. now i have gone and unrooted my phone like an idiot.
 
1) When Odin says passed unplug the phone.
2) power off the phone by battery pull
3) hold power and volume up until Samsung logo comes, let go of the power button but keep the up button pressed.
4 if you reboot choose disable stock recovery.

That will have cwm to stick.

I ended up back at 4.0.4 but rooted, too. When you tried again, did you stay at 4.0.4, or go back to 4.1.2? (I'm just kind of assuming that's where you started, since I'm about 90% certain that's what I had)
