Superpad II question

I recently purchased a Superpad II from Craigslist. Half the time I power it on, 1/4 of the the screen is taken up with colored lines. Is there a correction for this? It does not happen each time but it is extremely frustrating to keep rebooting - sometimes it will do it 7 times in a row - I often have to wait overnight and try again.

Sounds like that's why it was for sale. Probably a faulty LCD. Expect it to get worse.
