Help supersu not working need help pls. :(

i just tried to root my phone using supersu and following the steps provided by this video (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292729) my htc one m7 is running lolipop. everything was working well until i tried to restore my apps and that wouldn't work. also supersu won't open on my phone and it doesn't show the icon. if anyone can help me fix this that would be great. thx.
 
It sounds like flashing the superuser package didn't work (or maybe it was incompatible - video tutorials are hard to maintain, so tend to get out of date). Can you tell us exactly what superuser file and what recovery you used?

We have some detailed rooting instructions here - have a look and see whether you spot any differences to what you did.

Also how did you back up your apps and try to restore them? Can you confirm that your bootloader is unlocked and that your custom recovery is working? Sorry for all the questions, but knowing what guide you were following isn't the same as knowing what you actually did, and it's the latter, plus knowing what did and didn't work, which will help us work out the problem.
