Root SuperSU

I can't remember if SuperSU is auto installed with our root or not, if so can i safely delete this .apk? What are some alts to SuperSU?

It is auto installed with our root. No you cannot safely delete the .apk, and the only alternative I know of is superuser (although I cant really tell much of a difference between the two). IF you install superuser BEFORE you delete superSU, then you should be alright (although Im not sure if this is possible to do, I know uninstalling superSU/superuser is not the exact same as a regular app what with the binaries and all)

Im trying to install the "Switch Me" app. It says must be rooted to use, and also says not to have SuperSU installed.

My advice would be this

  1. Backup everything first, like it says
  2. Install Superuser
  3. Uninstall SuperSU
  4. Install Switch Me
  5. Try it out

I'm using superuser by the same person who made ROM manager. I installed it and then there is a option to change which superuser app you want to use. Then I un-installed the super su app.

In SuperSU there is a option to switch apps hit that button then it will uninstall itself, download Superuser and open the app and update the binary and that's it

SuperSU is actually more updated and worked on that than Superuser...jus sayin...

there's a reason more of the current ROMs come with SuperSU...
