Hi guys n gals :)

If you purchase/upgrade an orange contract at CPW, and choose a SGS, is the SGS branded and running orange's own software and/or firmware, like a Desire or SGS would be if purchased from an orange store, or is it just a standard samsung GS, simfree and using standard samsung software and/or firmware, just with an orange sim card in it?

Reason i'm asking is - hopefully it'll be easier and quicker to update to froyo (when its released) if the SGS is standard, using samsung software and/or firmware and is simfree than if it was orange branded and using their software?

Thanks

Ian

I got mine from CFW free with Orange contract put my old O2 sim in which doesnt expire for a week and it works fine, so it seems phones from CPW come as if you bought it sim free then they just bung in the provider you went with sim in
