Root surely my x10 can be better (after Root and JIT)

Dear members/moderators:
I got my x10i in November, was quite impressed as this was my first "smart phone", then soon after the 2.1 update came out - and i was even more impressed! Then (as you do) i started to tinker. my wife has htc desire and we both ran Quanrant, i got 724, she got 920. WTF? i have this device that claims to have a 1G processor etc. and but all accounts the htc is comparable, so why is it that i still get jumping (laging is it called? i'm still new!) when i scroll and my wife has a smooth UI. Have i missed something? i have tried removing EVERYTHING and again without facerec and timescape - there is no difference.

I guess my question is this. why - after all these "improvements" is my phone still not as smooth as a standard htc desire - have i missed something??

Also - overclocking - i d/l the overclock widget, but again - made no difference (i set it to the highest on the list 998***) - can i select a higher setting - i have read somewhere that it can but set to 1.2G - is that so?

Please help, I want to love my Xperia x10, but it is making it hard for me!!!!!

i am running that and his 1.6 theme, i cant fault my phone at all.
unless you goto a 2.2 rom you wont see very high quadrant scores but these have also been proven to not be all they seem. Z had his quadrant at over 2k but said the phone was really laggy now has him down to 1300-ish and says its a lot faster.

but for 2.1 the emenince rom is the best mod you can make and it looks fantastic.

i will give it a shot now!! I have just managed to get xrecovery, at first it kept telling me that it had not installed correctly, then i read somewhere that i needed to move the files to sys/bin. so i did - and now can open recovery (YEAHHHH BABY)

still am a total novice and punching way above my help - but this forum has been a godsend and idiots guide!! - any ideas on the "overclock" settings - i'd love to know what the ideal setting for my x10i should be!!

incidentally - what did you remove before installing custom rom? and does anyone know if there is a list of apps to remove (I KNOW - THERE ARE LOTS) - but specifically how they apear in titanium..??
