Root Swapping phones

My sister and I came to an agreement where she is taking my bionic and I'm taking her droid x. Her droid x is completely stock, but I'm rooted and running theory rom 1.8. I'm completely lost on how to go about doing this. I didn't think walking into a verizon store and handing them my rooted device was a good idea for her warranty. She wouldn't mind having a rooted device, but isn't very tech savvy and keeping it up to date would probably be a little difficult. Another huge concern I have is the way this phone drops its data signal. Is there a way that I can just flash the update and put her back to stock on the update? I hope that makes sense. if you are swapping phones you should be able to do it over the phone with vzw in stead of going into the store.

Yeah, I was hoping there was a way to avoid going into the store, I've activated new phones before where it made me put in the number and the account password. Could I not dial the *228 or whatever and activate my phone under her number then do hers under mine?

with the sim card in the bionic *228 does not work, but they should be able to do it over the phone not 100% sure. You might need to go in to get a new sim card though.

I believe BELIEVE you need a new sim for the bionic. The X will be fine with *228.
