Swiftkey question/bug?

I've got a LG L39C running 4.1.2 I just bought Swiftkey and am playing with it. I have flow turned on (which may be my issue) and am having an issue getting secondary characters. If I long press a character that has different secondary selections, such as e, or i for example the secondary menu comes up and I can select any of the characters presented, no problem. BUT if I long press a key, say m, that has only one selection on the secondary selection (/ in this case) it shows me the / on the secondary menu popup but if I slide up to select the / it takes it as a flow move and inserts multiple letters instead of the / <phew, I hope I explained that well.... >

Does this sound like a bug or WAD (Works As Designed) and I have to press the 123 key and actually go to the numeric keyboard?

When you long press on the M and the secondary character / pops up, just remove your finger from the keypad, don't slide up on the secondary character. Hope this helps
