Swipe Action for New Message Nova Launcher Prime Help?

So I have Nova Launcher (Prime) on Galaxy S3. I used to have a swipe action on my messaging so I can quickly open the composer. So basically when ever I swipe up from my messaging app, I am straight into a new message which was really good.

Today I downloaded the Messaging app from Play Store (Galaxy Nexus one) and now I can't find my messaging app (any of them, one from Play Store and the original Samsung one) in the Activities tab in Nova Launcher?

i thought the Messaging from Play Store had done something, I uninstalled it and searched, still couldn't find it! Please help?

Maybe yes because I had that option before now I don't

And could be a bit more specific with what you mean by "Walk me through the steps"
