Device: Galaxy S5
Android Version: 6.0.1
Keyboard Swipe: SwiftKey Flow

I just updated to 6.0.1 and the backspace functionality seems to have changed when I'm using swipe. I'm trying to find out if there's a way to return to the original functionality, as I've been unable to find it in my Settings.

Original Functionality
Swipe a word poorly
Phone enters whatever word it thinks you meant to say
Hit backspace
Entire word is deleted so you can try again

New Functionality
Swipe a word poorly
Phone enters whatever word it thinks you meant to say
Hit backspace
A single character is deleted leaving the incorrect word less one character
Continue hitting backspace until word is deleted so you can try again

TLDR
Backspace used to delete the entire word, now it only deletes a single letter and it's awful :(

Thanks in advance for any insight!

It's not 6.0.1.

Swiftkey had nothing to do with Android versions. It's a separate program. Hold the backspace key instead of just pressing if you want to delete an entire word.

as chan says, Android update will have done nothing to functionality of SwiftKey. However, it is possible it may have change the keyboard back from SwiftKey to stock. Have a look in Settings>Language & Keyboard and see if it has reverted back to Samsung Keyboard or if it's still SwiftKey.
