swipe keyboard on prime?

Yeah, I second that. After using the Swype keyboard on my SGS I wanted the 'real' Swype keyboard on my Prime. I did some checking, found out about downloading the beta version, and did it. I LOVE IT! It's far better than the pseudo-Swype keyboard that is available on the Prime. That version was ok,.....but (IMHO) the 'real' Swype keyboard IS the way to go. I'm very happy with it. The only downside that I can see is that IF you attach the keyboard dock then you need to go back to one of the two pre-installed keyboard options. The UP side is that when using your Prime AS A TABLET....then you can enjoy the ease of use of the real Swype keyboard (option).

I love swype on my Bionic so I downloaded and installed it on my Prime - thanks for the tip.

It was a little scary though when I enabled it there was a warning that it could "collect data including passwords" etc - what was THAT warning about? Was that an ASUS thing?

No, that's standard for any aftermarket keyboard on any device. Basically, it would be very easy for a developer of a keyboard to build in a keylogger that could capture everything you type (including passwords) and send them to someone. So, make sure you trust your keyboard developer and only get them from trusted sources.
 
I am a fan of the thumb keyboard over swipe. There are a bunch of keyboards out there, it's just a matter of preference.

Both Swype (recently acquired) and FlexT9 are now owned by Nuance... You might know Nuance from their Dragon Speech recognition PC software.

FlexT9 also has Dragon speech recognition built-in, but requires a data connection to work.
