swipe style keyboards dont work fully when posting on forums :/

hi all,

very odd this one - thought it might be touchpal, or this forum - but ive not just tried swype beta and a different forum and result is the same.

when swiping a word the keyboards dont seem to guess words as well as they might say in messaging, plus they dont auto space etc :/

anyone else getting similar?

I've got the same problem with the auto space with Swype. It works fine everywhere except in browsers. I think it's a jellybean problem as it worked fine with ics. Samsung's swipe keyboard autospaces but predictions a bit off.

yes i found the sammy one not so good at guessing words, so moved to touchpal

...btw: is there easy way to switch between keyboards? in the old GB days, tap+hold in the text box used to do it

i've noticed in browsers, Swype won't auto-space. but i think that should be restricted to the address bar. sometimes it's easier to swype parts of a URL, and auto-spacing would be kinda annoying at that point.

but not auto spacing when on Google.com is stupid. i've also come across a weird bug when swyping, that my cursor position will jump to the beginning, so i can be 2 words into a search, then all of a sudden the 3rd word is now the 1st word.

and another bug with deleting Google.com, i can be deleting a word, then all of a sudden the cursor jumps to a random area, and starts deleting from there.

Anyone try out the leaked ANDROID 4.2 "Gesture Type" keyboard ?Not a fan of-SWYPE-STYLE keyboards myself,but,the leaked .apk is easy enough to side-load.

When your cursor is in a text box pull down your notification bar and it should give you the option to choose input method

FYI if you use Chrome, Swype should work fine. I'm finding the auto space auto capitalization only has issues with the stock browser and Dolphin browser.

It had to be chrome that worked, that's just my luck. I need flash so it's a no go for me

Sorry, but its not better than Touchpal. The predictions were off and just general swyping was terrible. Maybe it can be tweaked before its released to the masses.
