Help Swipe to unlock?

Its not that big a deal but I have noticed since the upgrade that I can no longer swipe upward to unlock the phone. I have to swipe from side to side. Anyone else notice that? Have to retrain my thumb

I noticed that too. You just have to pretty much swipe the entire length of the screen now. However, you can still swipe vertically. Its annoying, but I'll live.

You can still swipe upwards, you just have to do it a lot farther than before. I also find this annoying. Anybody know of any way to get around this? (Like a flashable .zip or anything?)

It's not the fact that you have to move it further, it's the fact that even after only having the phone a couple of months, it's become wrote to do it the old way. Without even thinking I put my finger near the middle of the screen and swipe. I usually have to do that a couple of times before I remember "oh, yeah....that". It's just a big PITA to have to do it 3 or 4 times.

I'm sure it's like changing your password....at first you keep wanting to use the old one, but after a while the new one becomes automatic. Hopefully I'll adjust.

I use an app called No Lock by BoD. I haven't upgraded to Froyo so I don't know if it works with Froyo. Both my wife and I hated having to swipe the phone all the time. My wife especially because she often couldn't swipe when wearing gloves and missed a lot of calls. But No Lock solved the problem. My wife and I have no need to keep our phones locked because we don't store any sensitive data on them.

I've used that app too. I like it, but it doesn't work 100% of the time, so I got annoyed (I know, I'm picky).

The newest Cognition rom lets you choose between 5 different lock screens: Puzzle unlock (kinda like what happens when you miss a call), glass unlock (like the Touchwiz default), Android unlock (the stock Android unlock), Epic unlock (swipe from the middle upwards), and rotary unlock (similar to stock Android, but you swipe in a curved manner instead of straight left to right).
