Swipe to wake like on moto x?

I have a rooted galaxy nexus. I want to know if there is an app or somthing that allows you to swipe your screen while it is sleeping to wake it up, like on the moto x, or even just double tap it like the lg g2.
Is there an app or somthing that allows this to be possible?
I saw one website where you have to flash a new kernel which allows it, but I'm not sure if it was compatable with my sprint galaxy nexus.

Anyone have this on their phone, or know how to get it on my sprint galaxy nexus?

You would need a custom kernel to do it mate. Ive done it before on my galaxy s3 and it HAMMERS the battery lol.
The CPU has to stay awake to detect your touch.
On the Moto X for example it has a small low power "always listening" cpu core to get round the problem :thumbup:

yeah, the sensors would always have to be on high alert. i forget the app, but it permitted just waving my hand over it to wake it. it did wake it, for sure, but then promptly died because the battery had drained.

Like Funky said, it only works with certain kernels.
