I am doing this. Everything is the same but you will lose your visual voicemail that is standard on the iPhone, Verizon charges separate for that feature on all other phones.

Use Google Voice. It's free and has more features. Problem solved.

Yeah I just changed from the iPhone to the Thunderbolt. Same data plan as in the $30 unlimited.
