switching from that other phone

My wife and I are more than likely switching to the droid x Thrusday from that other phone that is having so many issues right now.

My one big question that I can't seem to find an answer to after searching the forum is on the apps.

If I buy an app on my phone will my wife be able to download that same app on her phone for free? or do we have to buy it twice?

Most likely you will be using different google accounts so you would have to buy the app twice. But, that would makes sense because you are needing to copies of the app so you should pay for it twice...

Technically that stealing. But If your wife used your gmail on her phone, I expect you can do it.

yeah, you could log in with the account and get the app, as well as just rip the files i supose if you technically inclined. but since its two diffrent devices that two diffrent people are using it is pretty much stealing the app.

if the app is good, and most of them are dirt cheap anyways, why not support the dev team?

Let's put it this way. Does the company you work for have a standing "buy one get one free" offer on all of its products/services? How would they (and you) do if they lost half their revenue?
