Switching Numbers Between Lines on Family Plan

Line 1: Eligible for an upgrade, grandfathered unlimited data plan
Line 2: Not Eligible, 200mb data plan (my line)

Is there anyway I could switch the phone numbers between the two lines. (So everything would stay the same except line 1 would get line 2's phone number and vice versa)?

So basically, you want Line 2 to get unlimited data? Unfortunately, I don't think AT&T will allow that. If you attempt to have them do it, all you'd probably end up doing is to lose unlimited data on line 1.

That is one true fact! If you have unlimited on a line, the best thing to do is "*not*" make any changes , updates that would confuse CSR in any way , fashion or form. Once you lose it (whether its your own choices or ATT's potential error in editing your account).. its gone!

Just leave as-is.. a number is just a number... (of course you can go online and enter area code and the first three prefix numbers to see if you can obtain a number closest to the number you are trying to change and do that)

Yeah except we use the line with unlimited data for a work phone so I kinda need to keep that number

Actually if it is accidentally removed you have to open a case to get it back. One of my lines had it accidentally removed a case was opened and I had it back in less than 48 hours.

They will look into your past billing to make sure you had it before they give it back.

mgoblueno1: why do you want to switch numbers? You want the unltd data on your personal line?
