Switching over to Android

Hello everybody,
I am a current iphone user and I have been using an iphone since 2009. I am quite fed up with Apple in general.
I'm really clueless when it comes to the android phones. I am looking for the most powerful android phone that has a microsd slot. I was sold on the OnePlus One but then I realized that it does not have a microsd slot.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The Samsung S5, the LG G3, the HTC One M8, and the Sony Z2 all have SD cards I believe.

There are "card readers" available that plug into the USB port that allow you to read and wrote to an SD card.

If you only require periodic access to an SD card this might meet your need on any quality phone.

The Sony Z3 also has a SD card slot and is supposed to be released latter this month.

Simply put, you need to do your research. There are so many android phones to pick from unlike iPhone's. So the jump isn't easy.

It's really not that simple as there are a lot of Android devices available with very similar internal specs so performance doesn't change that much when comparing high devices, there are few exceptions but not many.

That said you can't trust benchmarks, especially when it comes to Android devices and many tend to heavily throttle after a few minutes, some of the new LG devices do this a lot.

Also some still cheat in benchmarks by forcing full performance when they detect benchmarks, HTC One M8 does this.

So as you can see it's not made easy and simalar components don't mean they are the same. So good luck.

I recommend the Galaxy S5, I know from video comparisons that provides very consistent performance and camera is very good.
